Chelsea joined the Latherhouse team in 2026, reconnecting with Carissa and Kent after years of working alongside them in the industry. With over a decade of experience behind the chair, Chelsea began her career after graduating from the Aveda Institute in Chicago in 2011 and spent ten years honing her craft in the city’s vibrant salon scene before relocating to Colorado in 2019.
Her career has been shaped by a deep commitment to advanced education and technical excellence. Chelsea has trained extensively with globally recognized programs and artists, including Sassoon, ARROJO, and American Wave, and has worked closely with industry leaders such as Nick Arrojo. She has served as a platform artist, received a Cosmetologists Chicago award, and has been featured in Modern Salon magazine—recognition that reflects both her skill and her creative perspective.
Chelsea specializes in razor cutting, shags, layered haircuts, and long hair, with a strong focus on creating movement, texture, and shapes that feel modern yet timeless. Her color work centers around balayage, highlights, and dimensional brunettes, designed to complement and enhance her cuts for a cohesive, lived-in result. Her personal style—edgy with a classic undertone—translates seamlessly into her work, where she balances structure with softness and individuality.
Her approach behind the chair is both welcoming and collaborative. Chelsea is passionate about creating an environment where guests feel comfortable, cared for, and excited about their hair. She loves meeting new people and takes pride in helping each client rediscover confidence through a look that feels authentic and effortless.
After taking time away from the salon to focus on raising her children, Chelsea is energized and inspired to be back behind the chair full-time, bringing both her experience and fresh perspective into this next chapter of her career.
Outside of the salon, Chelsea enjoys gardening, reading, practicing jiu jitsu, taking walks with her Great Dane, and spending quality time with her kids.
